A whimsical elopement in the Scottish Highlands

If you’re thinking of ditching a traditional wedding and opting for an adventurous elopement, the Scottish Highlands are the perfect place to elope with the love of your life.

I recently traveled to Scotland for a photography retreat, where we toured the Highlands and acquainted ourselves with the land, its people, and all of the beauty the country has to offer. As an avid traveler, I had been to Scotland before, but this was my first time visiting solely for photography. It felt like such a gift to capture the lush greenery, the rocky shores, and the blue seas surrounding it all.

Mimi and Brandon flew out from California to spend the day frolicking together in the most gorgeous remote island. We captured so many fun poses and special moments, all while taking in the views and spotting some sheep here and there. May in Scotland is lambing season, so there were lots of spring lambs running around with their moms. The island felt like something out of a fantasy movie, making it the perfect Scotland elopement location.
