The most perfect November day for an autumn wedding in Virginia

Do you ever walk outside and look around and think, “today is the perfect fall day“? Well, that was me during this dreamy autumn wedding I captured in November. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a sucker for anything autumn, so I spent the entire day gushing over how perfect the weather, the lighting, and the fall foliage was. On top of that, the couple and all of their friends and family were so stunning, fun to create with, and just reveling in all of the love that was in the air. It truly was the perfect wedding day!

Can we take a minute to appreciate how beautiful these first looks are?? The first look with the bride’s 70-year old grandmother made me tear up! Everything about the ceremony, the guests, right down to the officiant’s speech was so beautiful to behold. This couple worked with a planner who coordinated everything seamlessly, and it showed! I always love when couples hire planners to ensure the day goes as planned – I think it’s a must for anyone who wants to just relax and enjoy their day!

The venue, Layz S Ranch, was located out in Palmyra Virginia and provided the most gorgeous backdrop of fields and forests. I love being a DC-based wedding photographer mainly because the area can be so diverse no matter which way you travel, and Virginia always shows out with stunning nature settings! We were able to take so many beautiful portraits here before and after the ceremony.

Once cocktail hour was over, we headed inside the reception space for an evening of toasts, dances, and letting loose! It was so clear that this couple, their families, and their friends all truly loved each other, and I will always be honored to capture such pure love and devotion.
